Pawtucket, RI - The damage was done early against Scott Diamond (9-15, 4.50) as he surrendered a walk, a hit by pitch and a home run to the first three Red Sox hitters in the first as the Bisons ended their season on a losing note. Diamond gave up four runs on six hits, two walks and a plunk over five innings while striking out four. John Stilson struck out one in a one-hit sixth and Chad Girodo whiffed one in a scoreless seventh. Chris Smith walked one and struck out one in a shutout eighth.
David Adams drew a bases-loaded walk in the fourth to get Buffalo on the board. Jio Mier doubled and scored on an error in the seventh. Mier had three hits, including two doubles and Junior Lake was 2-for-4. Melky Mesa singled and walked and Chris Colabello was 1-for-4. Quintin Berry had a walk and a plunk but the trio of Andy Burns, Matt Dominguez and Erik Kratz was 0-for-4. The Bisons completed the season a dozen games below .500 at 66-78.
New Hampshire 3 Portland 1
Manchester, NH - The Fisher Cats came from behind to beat the Red Sox affiliate in their season finale, improving their record to 69-73. Emilio Guerrero evened the game at 1-1 with his 5th homer of the season before Dwight Smith Jr. singled home the go-ahead run in the sixth by cashing in a Jason Leblebijian walk. Guerrero singled to start the seventh and eventually scored on an Ian Parmley base hit. Guerrero had a three-hit game while Leblebijian reached three times with a hit and two walks and also stole a base. Smith also swiped a bag. Roemon Fields doubled while Christian Lopes and Reese McGuire had singles. Rowdy Tellez took one for the team but Jon Berti was 0-for-4.
Taylor Cole started this one but only went three innings, coughing up a run on three hits and a walk. He struck out one and recorded six outs on the ground. John Straka (4-1) pitched six shutout frames in relief, scattering five hits and striking out six. He also got six outs on the grass.
Lake County 4 Lansing 3
Eastlake, OH - This one got away from the Lugnuts in the late going as the Cleveland affiliate scored four times in their last three at-bats for a walk-off win. Jackson Lowery (1-2) gave up two runs in the eighth to blow the save and one more in the ninth to take the loss. Lowery surrendered four hits and a walk over 1-1/3 innings. Tom Robson gave up the first run in the seventh on two hits. That spoiled a strong end to the season for Angel Perdomo, who put together six shutout frames on two hits and three walks. He struck out seven while getting four outs on the diamond for a Game Score of 73.
Connor Panas opened the scoring with a two-run homer to score a Lane Thomas walk in the fourth inning. Carl Wise homered to tie the game in the eighth. Joshua Palacios and J.B. Woodman had two-hit efforts with Woodman drawing a walk. Ryan Hissey singled and walked. Cavan Biggio was 0-for-5 while Andrew Guillotte and Ryan Metzler went 0-for-4. Lansing finished the season two games below .500 at 69-71.

Pasco, WA - Denis Diaz (1-5, 7.71) had a 3-0 lead when he took to the mound but he had trouble finding the plate as he walked the first three hitters he faced before uncorking a run-scoring wild pitch. He walked five and gave up four runs (three earned) on three hits while striking out two over three-plus innings. Nate Abel was much better in his three-inning stint as he stranded a runner and shut down the Padres affiliate on three hits and a walk while whiffing two. Evan Smith struck out the side in the seventh but not before surrendering two runs on three hits. Jackson McClelland pitched a one-hit eighth with a punchout.
Rodrigo Orozco was on base three times Monday night.
The Canadians scored three times in the first on a David Jacob RBI single, a Nash Knight fielder's choice and a Deiferson Barreto run-scoring triple. Rodrigo Orozco was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk. Josh Reavis had a single and two walks. Bryan Lizardo singled and was hit by a pitch. Mississauga, Ontario native Owen Spiwak made his C's debut, drawing a walk in four trips to the plate. Jacob Anderson drew a walk but D.J. McKnight was 0-for-3 and Juan Tejada was 0-for-5.
