Buffalo 2 Syracuse 3 - 13 innings
The Bisons were held to three hits through seven innings and trailed 1-0. In the eighth a couple of soft line drives from Jio Mier and Humberto Quintero got them started. David Adams singled in a run followed by a sac fly from Domonic Brown to put Buffalo ahead. However Ryan Tepera could not hold the lead, he surrendered a home run in the eighth. Drew Hutchison started without his command, he walked three hitters in the first as well as hitting a batter. He added another walk in the second but then settled down to retire nine straight before he was pulled in the fifth. Hutch threw 88 pitches, 53 were strikes.
With the game tied the game proceeded through inning after inning until the bottom of the thirteenth. Ben Rowen was on the mound and a double and a single late the game was over. Brown was the only Bison with two hits. Like the parent club there are a lot of averages starting with a one on the team. Dalton Pompey did not play.

The Jays had seven hits but never seriously threatened to get back in the game. In the second inning Ryan McBroom doubled and Danny Jansen singled him home. The second run came in the sixth, Richard Urena, McBroom and Harris singled. McBroom had the only multi hit night for the Jays.
