The Mississauga native reached third on a groundout but Domonic Brown fouled out to end the game. Matt Dominguez drove home two runs without a hit, bringing home a Junior Lake triple in the second on a sac fly before driving in a Domonic Brown single with a ground ball to the mound in the sixth. Matt Dean provided another insurance run with his first Double-A home run in the seventh. Berti would score a third time after walking, stealing second and scoring on a Melky Mesa base rap in the eighth. Roemon Fields tied Berti in the hit column with a couple of knocks.
St. Lucie 1 Dunedin 0
