Sean Nolin starting in the GCL today. Sean Opitz also in the lineup for his first North American AB's in 2014.

I have now confirmed that Osuna's move back to the Lansing DL was an administrative move only and that he has not had a setback. I guess one and one don't always equal two.

Max Pentecost is slated to arrive in Vancouver this week according to The Vancouver Province. He may play as soon as Tuesday.

Nice! I went to my first game of the season yesterday, Baretto DH'd but looked good at the plate. Both of his singles were hard hit line drives. Roemon Fields is a fun one to watch, very patient at the plate and fast as H.

Hopefully Max is in town this week as I'm planning on going to a game or two.

I was a little surprised when they sent Pentecost to Vancouver. Not because I don't think it's a good level, it just seemed that with the promotions of Nessy and Saez, it seemingly made sense.

Schwarber is in Lansing started tomorrow. Would have been fun to see the top catchers in the draft battle it out this week.

Pompey and the VW bus.  This guy sounds like my kind of guy.  This would be a tough one to trade.  If he became the real deal, Blue jay fans would never forgive AA for trading him.  Even if it got them a World series.

I know we traded away alot of prospects last year, but I am very excited about Norris, Barretto, Sanchez, Ozuna, Pompey and Tirado.  These guys are grade A meat.

Pentecost went 2-3 with a sac fly last night in Vancouver's 13-7 win.  He did make a throwing error on a stolen base attempt. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he's up in Dunedin for a few weeks before the playoffs.

Good point LF regarding Pentecost. For Lansing next year, I am hoping for strength up the middle C, SS/2B & CF. Lastly it is possible but these things never happen, that the rotation is stacked with power arms.

The Blue Jays have a special marketing interest in the Vancouver ball club; Pentecost is there primarily for that purpose (and to get his feet wet, of course).

Thanks Mike and I understand that business side.  The Tigers do the same thing with their West Michigan affiliation since GR is roughly equidistant between Chicago and Detroit.  It's just the west side of the state, not the west side of the country.  lol..
