The affiliates were 4-2 today, with wins coming for Buffalo, New Hampshire, Lansing and Vancouver. There was a bunch of strong hitting performances across the board that helped their teams to victory.
Rochester 2 – Buffalo 3
PJ Walters was given the start for Buffalo after a bunch of roster moves were made including promoting PJ to Buffalo, from New Hampshire. PJ contributed with a decent start giving up one earned run over 5 innings.
The Bisons had 6 hits, with the two big hits coming from Anthony Gose, and Kevin Pillar. Anthony had a RBI in the 3rd inning, and was followed by Kevin Pillar hitting his 2nd HR of the season.
New Hampshire 7 – Trenton 2
Casey Lawrence pitched 4 scoreless innings, Arik Sikula gave up 2 earned runs over 2 innings pitched. Scott Gracey pitched a scoreless 7th inning, and Gregory Infante closed out the game with his 7th save.
Kenny Wilson and Mike Crouse each had 3 hits including a double, while Mike also had his 4th HR of the season.
Brevard County 6 – Dunedin 5
Ben White gave up 3 earned runs over 5 innings, but Justin Jackson gave up 3 runs (2 earned) in the 5th inning, and was credited with the loss.
Gustavo Pierre had 4 hits, including his 4th HR of the season.
Bowling Green 4 – Lansing 5
Jeremy Gabryszwski put together another good outing allowing 3 ER over 5 innings.
Michael Reeves had 3 hits, Ian Parmley had 2 hits including a double, and Matt Dean had his 3rd HR of the season.
Vancouver 5 – Hillsboro 3
The Canadians came from behind scoring 5 runs in the 8th inning. Franklin Barreto went 2-5 with a double, and his 5th SB. Also, Ryan McBroom was 2-5 with a double, and a HR.
On the pitching side, starter Starlyn Suriel gave up 2 earned runs over 5 innings.
Bluefield 2 – Kingsport 5
Bluefield got behind early giving up 5 earned runs from Alberto Guzman and Miguel Burgos over 5 innings. Former Outfielder Carlos Ramirez pitched well, with a 3 inning scoreless performance.
The offense only managed to get 3 hits, which included a double from Rowdy Tellez.
