Rochester 6 Buffalo 3 - game 1
Deck McGuire started with four hitless innings. That ended with four straight hits to start the fifth leading to four runs. Rochester tacked on two more, one unearned, off McGuire in the sixth.
For the offense Brad Glenn hit a three run home run. Dan Johnson went 2-2 with a walk.
Rochester 3 Buffalo 7 - game 2
Brad Glenn was 3-3 with 2 RBI's making it a 4 hit day. Kevin Pillar was 2-2 with a walk, Darin Mastroianni also had two hits. Anthony Gose had an oh-fer day.
Raul Valdes pitched five innings giving up two runs.
New Hampshire 1 Trenton 2
In the fourth inning Mike McDade singled in Kenny Wilson and behind Radhames Liz that looked like it would stand up. Liz went six innings and only allowed four hits.
But in the eighth inning Tyler Ybarra gave up the lead and took the loss. Derrick Chung was the only Cat with two hits.
Brevard County 3 Dunedin 5
The Jays put up three runs in the first and that was enough for Kendall Graveman. The first five Jays hitters reached base. Graveman went seven innings with two runs conceded.
Dwight Smith had three hits including a home run. Kevin Patterson had two hits and a home run.
Bowling Green 3 Lansing 4
Lansing gave up a run in the eighth and two in the ninth and that ruined a close contest. Chase De Jong had his best start of the season, he went six innings, four hits, one run, no walks with 8 K's.
David Harris and Mitch Nay each had two hits.
Vancouver 3 Hillsboro 2
Zak Wasilewski was excellent, he went 6.2 innings, 2 hits, one walk, five K's. The 2 runs for Hillsboro came in the ninth off Kamakani Usui.
Vancouver scored in the first and ninth innings with Boomer Collins driving in all three runs. Collins and Tim Locastro each had two hits.
Johnson City 3 Bluefield 0
Good pitching shut down the Jays. They registered 3 hits and they received no walks so there was little action on the bases.
Joey Aquino gave up an unearned run and JT Autrey gave up two more. The best pitcher was Oscar Cabrera, 4 innings, one hit, five K's.
GCL Jays 1 GCL Phillies 6
This was a mismatch as the Jays had to endure 5 innings from Jason Marquis who shut them down. Meanwhile Bobby Wheatley (2IP - 3R) and Angel Perdomo (3IP - 2R) put the Jays down 5-0.
The Jays had seven hits, one each by seven hitters. Juan Tejada continued his good start with a home run.
