The affiliates were 2-2 today, winning and losing a bunch of
close games. Dan Johnson had a strong game for Buffalo, going 3-4 with his 5th home run of the season.
Charlotte 3 – Buffalo 5
Today Kyle Drabek was plagued by the walk bug as he has been in the past. Kyle threw 5 innings today giving up 3 earned runs, on 3 hits, with 4 walks, and 3 strikeouts. John Stilson pitched the next 3 innings striking out 6 and not giving up a base runner.
Dan Johnson hit a 2 run Home Run in the 4th knocking in 2 runs, which was his 5th of the season. As well Ryan Goins, Jared Goedert, and Darin Mastroianni each had contributed with an RBI helping in the Bisons win.
New Hampshire 2 – New Britain 5
Deck McGuire was given the start today, and he gave up 5 earned runs over 6 innings with decent peripherals that included 7 hits, with 1 walk, and 3 strikeouts.
The Fisher Cats had 6 hits today, including two from Brad Glenn. Kevin Nolan and Jonathan Jones each had an RBI.
Tampa 3 – Dunedin 4
Dunedin won a close game grabbing their 21st win of the season in the process. Dwight Smith had his 3rd home run of the season, and Dalton Pompey swiped his 15th stolen base of the season.
Jesse Hernandez had a decent start in which he gave up 3 earned runs over 5.2 innings.
West Michigan 2 – Lansing 1
The Lugnuts unfortunately lost a close game after a fantastic 8 inning tandem start from Chase De Jong and Alonzo Gonzalez in which they didn’t give up a run. Reliever Phil Kish gave up 2 earned runs in the top of the 9th, and was given the loss.
LB Dantzler was 1-2, with two walks, and got the only RBI of the game for the Lugnuts.
