The Jays are a perfect 5-0 since wearing #42 on Jackie Robinson Day since 2007. They beat Detroit at the Dome in 2007 and posted road wins in Minnesota and Baltimore in 2008 and 2009 respectively. This past Friday, the Jays beat the Red Sox 7-6 at Fenway Park.
In 2007, Vernon Wells, Royce Clayton and Frank Thomas elected to wear #42 along with hitting coach Mickey Brantley. By 2009, all players began to don #42 every April 15.
