Breaking News No Wade! Rangers DFA "other" Boggs after trade

Per Friend of Batter's Box (FOBB) Jamey Newberg ...

Texas has officially traded Joaquin Arias for Jeff Francouer, receiving cash in the deal from the Mets (reportedly so that Texas pays Francouer what it would have paid Arias the rest of the way), and have designated outfielder Brandon Boggs for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for Francouer. The Rangers have 10 days to trade Boggs, release him, or outright him to the minor leagues.

Any other rumblings this final-deadline-for-playoff-eligibility evening? Any interest in Boggs?

Boggs doesn't look like much more than a AAA guy. Has hit 264/375/447 in the minors but his AAA experience is all in the PCL. He made the majors at 25 in 2008 and hit 226/333/399 over 101 games, has had 13 games since. Plays all 3 outfield positions. Sounds very much like a younger version of Wise. Don't see much incentive to take when we have a few other options around.
