Batter's Box is gradually moving into the 21st century; you know what they say, better late than never! Right now we have started linking to articles, and as we gradually roll out we'll have news updates, insightful observations, witty banter, pithy remarks and fabulous prizes (note: prizes may not be fabulous or prizes.) Look for a link on the homepage in the coming days, but in the meanwhile you can get in on the action at www.twitter.com/battersboxca
As they say on facebook:
Christopher Taylor likes this.
I've done the RSS via Google Reader for quite sometime, but the 140 char summary and a link provides my ADD a quicker fix. Mine (and others) ability to pay attention seems to have go out of style with the invention of Web 2.0

Much more pleasant on my blackberry.
Attention spans are over... Oooh, shiny!

Hey guys, how come I can't find you on UberTwitter? I've tried batters box, battersboxca, and battersbox and no success.....
you can follow me too! i only tweet once a quarter, and only have three followers - but one of them is Jake Marisnick, so stuff it!
I smiled tonight as I watched League get dinked for the loss in his 3rd inning of work...it takes a Jays fan and Magpie reader to know League isn't very good when he's coming out of the dugout and not the bullpen.
Was rooting for the Rangers, but talk about poor League getting dinked to death! Two base hits that traveled a total about 200 feet, a bunt and a wild pitch scoring the game's first run in the 12th inning? I was laughing out loud by the time the game ended!
I unleashed a couple of tentative tweets from the ballpark last night, just to see if I could figure out how. It was a weird night, what with a foul ball bouncing around in the dining room. It's unusual enough that when fouls actually sneak into the press box, but hitting the aisle and carrying right on through.... beauty!
Mick, I picked up that game in extra innings and watching the Ms was like watching an exact replica of the 08-09 Blue Jays. Inability to hit in the clutch, Sweeney/JR as their Mencherson, League losing on pathetic hits, and the overall sense that the Ms were finding a way to lose after that botched suicide squeeze.
Magpie, thanks for the tweets, and please keep twittering! Twitter adds a nice dimension to a baseball game. If we're not at the game, and not watching on television, it's fun to follow the tweets by Bastian, Blair, Lott, Campbell etc. Tweets by Magpie would add another nice layer to the instant analysis and color.
