Every year, as Christmas passes, we ask gathered Bauxites to share with everyone here -- taunt us, really -- with what your best baseball-related Christmas/Winter holiday gift was this year.

Whether it be a new Rawlings ball glove, Louisville Slugger, or new set of cleats, season tickets in your favourite section of Rogers Centre, a complete, mint condition 1976 Topps set of 660, a traditional Strat-O-Matic baseball game or the new EA Sports MLB edition -- or whatever -- 'fess UP! What'djaget???

<<<sigh>>> For the first time in my entire life -- literally, dating back to before the birth of the designated hitter rule! -- I got nothing for Christmas that was even remotely related to The Great Game. So I look forward all the more to hearing about everyone else's Christmas baseball booty (and I don't mean Josh!) ...

Three prospects for Halladay and Brandon Morrow. ; )

In reality, I got the Torre "auto" biography - pretty good thus far. Also the THT book is coming...

Cooperstown Confidential which I will not be reading until I read the new autobiographies from Paul Shaffer and Andre Agassi.

My signed Halladay jersey framed.  It's bittersweet.

I got the 2010 Blue Jays wall calendar (four of the twelve players featured are no longer in the organization), and a Johan Santana Christmas tree ornament.

I got the Torre book as well.  Read a few random pages & I'm excited to delve into it.

Joe Posnanski's "The Soul of Baseball". Great read so far (about a quarter of the way through)

An Amazon Kindle.  Are any good baseball books available for the Kindle?

I got Aggasi's book as well - owing to the fact that my Dad couldn't identify a good baseball book.  Which is fine.  My Christmas present to myself - the BA prospect handbook - ships in February.

I received Joshua Prager's The Echoing Green. It's one of several books I got for Christmas that I'm eagerly looking forward to reading.

I've a standing Christmas baseball present - I renew my BA subscription + I order their Almanac and their Prospect Handbook. This year however I've also been informed by She Who Must Be Obeyed (SWMBO) that she's premitting me to attend a couple of weeks of Spring Training. I"m looking forward to seeing the Jays home games and on off days going to the Minor League camp and following those guys. Oh Joy!

The Torre book is on the Kindle.

Got my Kindle last month... and I just love it! Can't put it down!

I read The Soul of Baseball earlier this year.  It is a good, fun read.  It is partly about baseball and partly about a great character, Buck O'Neill, and Joe P writes it well.

I bought myself a new ball glove (softball). Had the last one for 20+ years, and lost it somewhere about a year ago. This one isn't as good, but it was on sale, and I just needed SOMETHING (have been borrowing a friend's 1st baseman's glove for a year). Not sure I'll keep it yet, but at least I now have one to consider..
