San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum is facing marijuana charges after being pulled over for speeding in his home state of Washington last week. The 2008 National League Cy Young award winner is scheduled to appear in court in December.
Lincecum is in contention to repeat as the N.L.'s Cy Young award winner after going 15-7 with a 2.48 ERA. He recently won Sporting News honours as the top pitcher in the National League, beating out the St. Louis duo of Adam Wainwright and Chris Carpenter.
Lincecum and the Giants will be playing in Toronto in 2010 from June 18th to the 20th. Let your buds know there are no 4:20 start times. Hopefully, the Jays won't stink out the joint or have the series go to pot for them. Please, no rehash of lame marijuana jokes or Kevin Phillips-Bong references. Thanks!
