Two wins, two losses, and two rain outs.  It's all sussed out below.

Las Vegas 3    Salt Lake 8

First the good news:  Three relievers combined to shutout the Bees over the final 8.1 frames.  Now the bad:  Fabio Castro coughed up 8 runs in his 0.2 innings of work.  That's pretty much all there is to this one.  Castro surrendered 8 hits and a walk while retiring just two guys.  Things were pretty much sealed at that point.

Aaron Mathews homered for the 51s while Buck Coats and Brian Dopirak each had two hits.  Let's move on.

New Hampshire @ Trenton-  Postponed due to rain

Dunedin 17    Clearwater 2

Hey!  Now here's a good one.   The DJays are usually on the opposite end of these games.

Only one homer in this one, courtesy of Brad McElroy who had quite the night going 3-for-5 with three runs and three RBI.  After that, Moises Sierra, Jesus Gonzalez and Kevin Ahrens each had two hits while Tyler Pastornicky was 1-for-4 with a run, two RBI, two walks and a stolen base.  A nice night all around as every regular had a hit.

Scott Downs started this one and worked a perfect inning with a strikeout.  Vincent Bongiovanni took over from there and was masterful in going six and allowing just two hits and a walk against 8 strikeouts.

Lansing 6    Fort Wayne 4

Big night for Balbino Fuenmayor who picked up his 7th homer and 8th walk of the season.  His BB:K rate is now 8:105.  Wellinton Ramirez also maintained his .500 average in Lo-A with his second straight 2-for-4 night.  After that, a bunch of guys each had one hit, including Mark Sobolewski who was 1-for-4 with an RBI and three strikeouts.

Ryan Shopshire started for Lansing but didn't stick around long enough for the win going four innings and allowing two runs on four hits and three walks.  That's where Dustin Antolin came in.  Antolin was shaky in his three innings but picked up the win nonetheless.  Yorman Mayora finished things off with two shutout frames and four strikeouts.

Mahoning Valley 11    Auburn 9

The Doubledays led this one 6-1 heading into the 8th but back-to-back five run innings killed any hopes of a win.  Can't blame the offense though, as the top five hitters combined to go 11-for-24 with seven runs and five RBI.  Sean Ochinko starred going 3-for-5 with two runs, a double, homer and four RBI.  Eric Eiland also homered, his first of the year.  Unfortunately, he struck out his other four times up to the plate.

The goats on the mound were Brian Justice and David Miller who combined for ten runs over their three innings of work.  If you want to figure out who did what, be my guest and click on the link.  It's not worth it, though.
