Noticed some recent Jays draft picks particularly from LSU against Vriginia in their 9-5 win in the College World Series Saturday night.

Box score here: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/baseball/boxscore?gameId=2916400991

I believe they drafted Schimpf and Ochinko.

Off the wall thought - The Nats are about to fire Manny Acta. I've seen it said that he was actually a great in-game manager. If this is true, wonder what it would take to get him into our organization?

Personally, I'm not at all impressed with the results in Las Vegas...

Cecil was originally listed as the starter of Game 2.  Perhaps a move is coming.

Davis Romero walked one and struck out five in his five shutout innings.  With Carlson struggling, there may be an opening for him soon.

Cecil pitched 6 innings on the 9th so I can't see why he'd be scheduled for the 13th. Wednesday's off day is giving him and Purcey an extra days rest, and Cecil will likely start on Monday, which puts him on schedule to take that Saturday start vs. Washington for the Jays.
