I desperately want this to be real.

Although maybe having a shortstop who's favourite movie is stomp the yard is not a good thing.

If he brings his .280 average, his .350 obp, and his 80 steal potential to the bigs I don't care if his favourite movie is the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

It is real, someone found it when he got drafted (it looked a bit different because it didn't say anything about him being drafted at that point).

Maybe I'm a bad person, but I find it funny his "girl"friend's name is Stevie.

This probably doesn't belong here, but if you are interested in owning Travis Snider's road jersey from Lansing last year, they are auctioning it off on the Lansing Lugnuts website.  It is on page 2 and no one has bid on it yet.  Starting bid is $95 USD.

Seriously though, his page looks like a fake profile page I would make (which, in and of itself makes it real).  Occupation: Baseball/Pimp.  Classic.

What does the myspace link say?

Also, I just tuned into the game - did they say that Snider is coming up in September?

I don't know about its authenticity.  He's listed as 182cm.  Do Americans even know metric?

It seems authentic enough. Don't forget, he's only 18. Plus, there's messages on there from January, doubt he was famous enough then for anyone to make a fake MySpace for him. Maybe when he's 19 and ends up in Toronto, we can all pitch in and buy him a pack of Revs.

Also, the last login date is listed as 10/08/2008 which is a decidedly un-American way of  listing the date.  Basically the rest of the world uses day-month-year.  Americans use month-day-year or 08/10/2008.  Looks really fishy to me.

Accardo's success in the Syracuse game is incredibly encouraging news.  He was having so many injury setbacks this year that I wondered if his career was in jeopardy.  If he can keep it going at Syracuse for the rest of the season, he could be a key pitcher in the bullpen in 2009, which would give the Jays much more flexibility with their pitching staff -- and potential trading chips as well.

I hear talley's homer was in the 500 foot range. Thats legit power. Good numbers all around except walks to stike outs.

the date list American style when I go there, maybe the site adjusts it automaticlly depending on the IP of who's looking at it?

500 feet for a 19 year old is down right ridiculous.
