Columbus 4 Syracuse 3 - 11 innings
This game was tied until Columbus scored off Brandon League in the 11th innings. The Chiefs had only six hits, Wayne Lydon had two. Eric Kratz and Hector Luna hit solo home runs.
Erie scored in each inning from the fourth to the seventh to win easily. AJ Wideman and Jamie Vermilyea conceded the runs. The Fisher Cats had nine hits, Anthony Hatch had three, Scott Campbell and Travis Snider had two each. Snider drove in two runs with a double.
The Jays had only seven hits and four of them were by major leaguers, two each for McDonald and Wells. Kyle Ginley took his first loss of the season by giving up three runs in 5.2 innings. Ginley allowed eight hits and two walks so he wasn't as efficient as he has been.
Lansing led 4-2 before allowing six runs in the seventh and three more in the ninth. With two outs in the seventh John Tolisano and Kevin Ahrens made back to back errors. Those errors were followed by a walk, a single, a walk and a grand slam. The first four runs came off Chi-Hung Cheng, the last two off Joe Wice. Trystan Magnuson pitched four innings and allowed two runs on six hits.
Lansing had five hits, Moises Sierra and Matt Liuzza hit home runs.
