Victor Zambrano gave up five runs in four innings, Jim Crowell gave up six runs in 1.1 innings. The Chiefs had only three hits.
Lyle Overbay doubled in a run in the fifth and hit a grand slam in the sixth. Eric Fowler gave up three runs in five innings. The lead off hitter in the sixth singled and Fowler was replaced by Seth Overbey who induced and double play to eliminate the threat. Overbay was 2-4 with five RBI's. Sergio Santos, Chip Cannon and David Smith also had two hits each. Tracey Thorpe finished with 1.2 hitless innings. In his last ten appearances Thorpe has pitched 12 innings, allowed six hits, five walks, two runs, and has 14 punch-outs. He might be ready for AAA.
Kristian Bell gave up seven runs in four innings. Dunedin had only three hits, one of them was a home run from Anthony Hatch.
In the first inning Travis Snider homered with one on. In the third he tripled in a run. In the fifth inning Snider doubled, in the seventh he singled to complete the cycle and in the ninth he singled again to make it a 5-5 night. Kyle Ginley pitched 5.1 innings allowing a home run among his three hits.
JP Arencibia hit a solo home run in the first, Shawn Scobee hit a grand slam in the sixth to power Auburn to a win over Cal's team. Brett Cecil gave up two runs on six hits in five innings. Among the six hits were two triples and a home run. Shawn Scobee and Victor Santana each had three hits.

Heading to the ninth the Jays were down 3-1 and were being outhit 9-3. John Tolisano and Balbino Fuenmayor walked and Yohermyn Chavez homered to put the Jays up 4-3. Joel Carreno started and gave up one run in five innings.
