Kurt Isenberg got out of the gates slowly for the Fisher Cats giving up 3 in the first and 1 in the second. After that he settled in and pitched 5 scoreless innings. He struck out 4 in 7 innings and didn't walk a batter.
With the game tied at 4 NH struck for 3 runs in the 8th inning to put the game out of reach. With one out Cannon walked. After a Patterson pop out Majewski walked. Klosterman followed with a run scoring double and Manny Mayorson drove in two with a single to right.
Earlier in the game both Santos and Cannon hit solo HRs. Santos also had a double on the night. Cannon went 2-3 with two walks.
Lakeland 3 at Dunedin 5
AJ Wideman got the start for the DJays and held Lakeland scoreless for the first 5 innings - helped in part by an assist at home: Butler to Gonzalez to Corrente. Wideman allowed 2 runs in the 6th - 1 unearned - before exiting the game. Connor Falkenbach was back from NH and picked up the save.
Dunedin scored 3 in the 7th to take the lead after trailing 3-2. David Corrente led off the inning with a HR. That was followed by a Lakeland error and 4 walks to score the final two runs.
Eric Nielsen had a solo HR in the first as well as two walks on the night. Chad Cota went 2-4 with a single and double.
Lansing - All Star Break: East (good guys) 8, West 2
The Nuts represented at the ASG. Sean Shoffit went 1-3 with an RBI, Matt Liuzza went 2-2 with an RBI and Travis Snider went 0-2 with 3 walks and 2 runs scored. Paul Phillips closed out the game with a scoreless ninth, striking out 2.
And in the 'only in an All Star game' department - Clayton Kershaw pitched the second inning giving up one run. He got the win AND a blown save.

GCL Yankees 1 at GCL Jays 2
Lots of unfamiliar names here. Kyle Walter got the start and went 4.2 innings allowing just one run, striking out 6 and walking 2. Brian Letko followed and pitched 2.1 scoreless innings with 3 Ks. Buckwalter and Jennings each pitched a scoreless inning to preserve the win.
Jonathan Del Campo's RBI double in the 8th inning broke the 1-1 tie to give the Jays the win. He went 2-4 on the day and scored the Jays other run. Luis Fernandez started at SS and had two hits. Mike McDade had a hit and a walk and Ebarb and Fuenmayor each had singles.
First rounder Kevin Ahrens was not in the lineup.
