You...you're kidding, right?

Executive Summary: I hope you were spending time with the family instead.

Boxscore: Why?

Star of the Game: Daniel Cabrera, as if I needed to say that. Though did he really need to pitch the whole game? It's not overkill; it's past overkill. If this game and overkill got into a fight, overkill would rise from the dead and kill this game. Or something.

Also, Miguel Tejada, shown here looking pensive before grounding out to the pitcher on April 27...unfortunately for the Jays, he did more than that yesterday. If it makes you feel any better, the Jays' magic number to clinch the NL West is 40, and 48 for the NL Central. They almost won the West last year...

In Other News: The Yankees scored only 13 runs against Boston, as Josh Beckett walked nine. The record is 18, if you're wondering. Chicago pulled further ahead of the Twins with a 4-1 win over Brad Radke, who forgot that strikeouts were fascist and got six of them in five innings.

Nasty Save: Tom Mastny, perhaps the only pitcher we remember as a Charleston Alley Cat, picked up his first career save yesterday with two innings in relief of Jeremy Sowers.
