The world of baseball trades has not stopped spinning; one of the "big name" hurlers on the market has changed teams, as Washington has dealt Livan Hernandez to Arizona for a couple of minor leaguers.

Mock was considered a B prospect by John Sickels prior to this year. He has been so-so in double A this year at age 23. Chico did very well in the Midwest League earlier this year, and was promoted to double A, where he has done well.
The D'Backs have a very bright future. This trade improves their chances this year, and next. Hernandez' contract is for $8 million this year and $7 million next. I'm a big fan of D'Back GM Josh Byrnes, and this move is just one in a long line of smart ones.
If I'd been paying attention to the prospect names, I wouldn't have
missed the chance for a classic 1970s TV tribute with the headline Chico and Livan.
