Josh Towers has been recalled to start Tuesday's game against Atlanta, after 4 Towers' classic starts in Syracuse. Vinny Chulk was sent down to Syracuse again to make room for Towers. It is easy to understand why Towers has been recalled, but Chulk has pitched very well since returning and his demotion is a mystery. Thanks to Andrewkw for the tip.
So when Pete Walker comes back, then its either Taubenheim or Towers sent down again. I can see Towers doing well in the short run here, at least for the Braves start, because they are arguably the worst team in baseball the last month. But if Towers is sent down when Walker returns, does he have to clear waivers again? (Of course Rosario or Frasor could go, but...)
Towers was recalled because Lilly has a sore shoulder.
Personally, I think I'd rather have Chulk than Rosario right now.

I do not understand why Chulk was sent down, rather than Tallet. Tallet has not been inspiring confidence, and the need for a 4th lefty out of the pen is beyond me.
