Here's the latest news!
After all the waiting and hard work, the TBBL actually came to fruition last Saturday, and the result was a damn good time. Yes baseball fans, the little league that could is officialy up and running as seen by the success of our Open House Day. Special thanks to Jim Turner and Kent Williams for making the whole thing possible.
The walk up crowd was surprisingly good, and the competition level was everything I hoped for, a perfect blend of the good and the... uhhh.... well... they had great team spirit at least.
Seriously though, it looks like it will be fantastic summer, huge thanks to the 30 people who came out, I look forward to playing ball with you this summer!
But really, would I put up this entire thread just to brag about how much fun we had? Well yes, yes I would, but there's actually a point to this. We've let the success of Open House Day get to our heads and now we're getting greedy. We're on a PUSH FOR FOUR.
That's right, it's one more mini-campaign drive for this Saturday to see if we can get enough people signed up for a fourth team. The website wont be updated till later tonight but for now know that this Saturday at 6:30 will be an Exhbition Game/Registration Day. We will quickly make teams and everyone who comes out will be placed teams for the league after the exhibtion.
But be forewarned: This Saturday is the ABSOLUTE LAST DAY that you can register for the league. Who ever's there on Saturday is in the league, who ever isn't....isn't. So this is your chance if you've been lurking the bushes, afraid to commit to a league without knowing the competition level or even if it would get off the ground. So everyone come on out and join our PUSH FOR FOUR and bring your friends!
Drag everyone you know - especially anyone who can catch - and come on out to the Exhibition game. Just remember to have your money and registration forms in hand and it will have to be the absolute last day for registration, no extensions possible.
This summer - you can play ball too. Cool or what?
