Ladies and gentlemen, your Toronto Blue Jays - once more doing stuff that no other team in baseball does. It must be time for a Data Table.


Last nght's loss to the Red Sox preserves the Blue Jays strange distinction of having playing a fifth of the season without either: a) sweeping a series, or b) being swept. With last night's action in the books, each team in the majors has now played 10 series in this young season, and the Blue Jays are the last holdout.

At the other extreme... the Chicago White Sox have swept the opposition five times in their ten series so far (three games four times and two games once), and the Kansas City Royals have been swept six times in ten tries (three games three times, and two games three times.)
