The Chiefs got on the board in the 3rd inning on a John Hattig double, cashed by a Justin Singleton single. The Indians replied with a run in the 4th off Ty Taubenheim. New Britain 2 @ New Hampshire 1
The Fisher Cats scored in the first inning on a Brad Hassey double and an RBI single from Adam Lind, but the Rock Cats replied with single runs in the second and third innings to take the lead which they never relinquished. Kyle Yates threw six solid innings, allowing two earned runs on six hits, including the game-winning Matt Moses home run, and 1 walk. Yates blew away 4 New Britain batsmen. Tracy Thorpe and Jason Arnold completed the game in dominating fashion, with Thorpe striking out 3 and allowing 2 baserunners in 2 innings and Arnold retiring all three batters he faced, two by his own hand.
The Fisher Cats missed a golden opportunity to score in the 4th, sandwiching a double play among a HBP, catcher's interference, single and walk. Chip Cannon doubled as a pinch-hitter late in the game.

The mini-me Yanks took an early 4-0 lead off Brian Wolfe and the D'Jays, and would not let go. The Jays closed to 4-3 after 5 innings, but Tampa scored 2 in the 6th, 1 in the 7th and 2 in the 8th to put the game away. Ryan Klosterman again starred, hitting a 2 run homer, drawing a walk and stealing 2 bases. Juan Peralta tripled and scored out of the leadoff spot. Wolfe threw 5 innings, allowing 4 runs, only 1 of which was earned, on 7 hits and 1 walk with 4 strikeouts. The bullpen struggled, with only Connor Falkenbach's solid 9th inning providing some good news.
After trailing 4-1 after 4 innings, the Lugnuts scored a run in the 5th inning and then 2 on a Brian Pettway homer in the 8th to tie the game. Alas, Yesson Berroa surrendered a couple of runs in the top of the ninth on an infield single, a sacrifice, a double and a single, and that was the game. Adrian Martin started and went 4 innings, allowing 4 runs, 3 earned on 8 hits and no walks with 4 strikeouts. Edward Rodriguez kept the Lugs in the game by throwing 3.1 scoreless frames until the unhappy ending. Sean Shoffit singled twice in five plate trips, while Yuber Rodriguez doubled, singled and walked in four. Joey Metropoulos doubled and sacrificed his body to reach base once. Josh Bell singled in four trips and picked a runner wandering off third. Pettway singled in a run, in addion to his 2 run shot.
