Another off-season, another NFH Challenge!
Here's what Kingsley had to say in the Josh Towers signing thread:
Lots of things to challenge in there, aren't there?
I initially proposed a jersey challenge like the one between Robert and myself last year just over whether or not Josh will remain in the rotation past the All-Star break. Kingsley wasn't into that, so I'd like to propose a sliding challenge scale, something like this:
These are all just ideas, and I'll need some help in determining numbers and cut-off dates for the different plateaus. And Kingsley, I'll need your input on what kind of fantastic prize you'd like to be playing for.
Off the top of my head, there should be something for Towers outperforming pitchers paid more than him, shouldn't there? Feedback, Bauxites, let's make this challenge a killer!
Here's what Kingsley had to say in the Josh Towers signing thread:
This contract was a nothing more than a loyalty reward for what will undoubtably go down in the books as Towers' career year. His numbers were an abberration... counting on Josh to keep it together over another season, to count on 'it' not vanishing...well, friends, that's too many what-if's for me.(Read the whole post here.)
...
Josh will be nothing more than the long righty out of the 'pen come mid-season.

I initially proposed a jersey challenge like the one between Robert and myself last year just over whether or not Josh will remain in the rotation past the All-Star break. Kingsley wasn't into that, so I'd like to propose a sliding challenge scale, something like this:
- Towers has a bad season, is demoted to the pen: NFH gives Kingsley some fantastical present (to be determined)
- Towers has a bad season but remains in the rotation after the ASB: Kingsley wears an I HEART JOSH shirt to a game.
- Towers has a good season but not as good as '05: Kingsley wears the shirt and brings a giant banner (supplied by NFH)
- Towers repeats '05 or improves on it: Kingsley approaches Towers before a game, apologizes for what he wrote on the internet and asks for an autograph
- Towers wins the Cy Young: Kingsley buys a Josh Towers jersey for NFH
These are all just ideas, and I'll need some help in determining numbers and cut-off dates for the different plateaus. And Kingsley, I'll need your input on what kind of fantastic prize you'd like to be playing for.
