Actually, it's looking more like Trade Fringe right now. JP Ricciardi has all but said there'll be no deals involving the Blue Jays by tonight's no-waivers deadline, and despite all the talk of mammoth three-team extravaganzas, it seems the Red Sox are holding on to Manny Ramirez. So what is happening? Well, er, the White Sox traded for Geoff Blum. So it's looking pretty quiet so far, but in the event some big swaps do happen, or anyone wants to discuss the deals that do take place, here's your thread. Please attach links or references to any reported trades.
most importantly it's good to know that Manny is still a gangsta ; )
It doesn't look like the Jays pulled the trigger on anything. I personally would have tried hard to move Hillenbrand, but JP didn't seem open to that option.
Based on where they are in the standings, I think he played it right. With Lilly hurt, they didn't really have too many options, since the only other players (i.e. Hinske) you'd want to move have zero value. Maybe Cat could have brought something back, but it's usually only marginal pitching prospects, and the Jays have those in spades - so they might as well let it ride and hope that either Oakland or Anaheim stalls allowing them to truly compete for the Wild Card come September.

Surprised about Farnsworth, I thought Detroit would do what they could to hang on to the guy to be their closer.
Makes it all the more likely He'll be an FA at the end of this off season for us to pursue.

The Jays should have pursued him LAST year, like I said at the time. :) Now he's going to be expensive.
I hear you Ryan.
He was basically traded for a Middle Relief prospect to Detroit (along with a few other tools), Ink him to an extension after trading for him and you have a great setup man/Closer for a long time. Now with his year hes having this year, thriving in the Closer role (Taking over from Troy's injury), hes going to be getting a fat contract.
