An equally fine week from the Thunderbirds propelled them to sixth place while their victims, the Eastern Shore Birds, fell to eighth. The battle to avoid relegation gained intrigue as Slippery Pete smashed the similarly ranked Moscow Rats and gained a little breathing room. Garces Not On Roids set an Alomar record with 62 RBI.
