Our week of daily photographs comes to an end, but I'll be putting up a new picture every day at lunchtime again next week, starting on Monday.

In honor of Roy Halladay's magnificent performance yesterday, here's Doc on April 9th at the Rogers Centre:

What kind of camera and lens with what settings were you using to shoot this? It looks kind of dark, doesn't it?

Doesn't look dark to me on any of my well-calibrated monitors, but I can't speak for what happens out there in internetland. At this end I see plenty of detail in the black jersey.

Exposure and equipment is the same as all the other stuff I've posted from April 9th. Exposure did not vary because the dome was closed and the artificial light doesn't change.

I have a well calibrated Dell 19" Trinitron Monitor here at the office, and his black jersey blends into the background of the fans in the stands. Also, Halladay's face is dark and there is a cap shadow that crosses down across his right eye. Of course when I click on the picture and get the larger image, it brings out more detail - but it still looks dark to me. I'm not a fan of the black jerseys.

What's it calibrated to/with?

The prints from the same file from both printers here and from our outlab also show plenty of separation.
