Dave Bidini, author of Baseballissimo wanted me to pass this along to you. Baseballissimo is easily the best baseball-related book I read all of last year, so I encourage you to go out and get a copy if you haven't already.
For two days after I bought this book, I was living and dying with the Peones.
Bidini also tells some fun stories about being a Jays fan in the eighties. A great read.

I'm so lame, I got this book last year for my birthday and haven't yet cracked it. This has spurred me on to start reading what I'm sure is a great book!

It was neat - I never ended up finishing it though.

It is a good book. Like all of Bidini's books have been.
I compare it to the two other recent books with a significant amount of Jays coverage, Chasing Steinbrenner and Perfect I'm Not. It didn't have as much Jays content as either of the others, but it did have more affection for them.

Great book, although I'd place it behind The Numbers Game in the baseball books that came out last year.
Tropic of Hockey is also one of my favourite hockey books.
And one of these days I'm going to get around to reading On a Cold Road, which is supposed to be excellent as well.

On a Cold Road is a terrific book; very interesting with lots of great rock and roll stories told by some famous and not so famous Canadian musicians.
