Down 4-2 going in against HV closer Aaron Walker, the Doubledays quickly found themselves down to their final out when Chip Cannon struck out and David Corrente grounded out. But Aaron Mathews managed to work a walk; and when Ryan Bitter relieved Walker, Ryan Klosterman ripped a double to center to close the gap to 4-3 and put the tying run in scoring position. Klosterman then went one better and stole third base. Curtis Thigpen drew a walk, but Eric Nielsen struck out to end the game.
The Key Hit: Jason Armstrong's RBI double in the top of the second; he eventually scored as well.
