And I tell this truth to you
Not out of spite or anger
But simply because it's true.

Roy Halladay allowed twelve hits and a walk to the 29 batters he faced. After the second inning, Toronto managed just a single, a solo shot by Hinske, and a walk.

Summaries: MLB.com's Spencer Fordin discusses Halladay's tough evening. The Star has the Canadian Press story and Geoff Baker's wrapup. The Sun's Mike Rutsey finds some nice plays amid the loss.

At MLB.com, Chris Woodward ponders what might have been while former benchwarmer Josh Phelps suddenly holds second place on the team in RBI. Mike Rutsey lobs some compliments in the direction of David Bush in a Sun column. Rutsey also has Tosca's criticism of the inconsistent umps in the Seattle series.

Look! Over There! Another Barry Bonds Scandal!

Hey, does anyone know where to find a good selection of baseball gear in Toronto? I need a new baseball glove!

From Spencer Fordin's article:

"I don't have anything against the Blue Jays. I appreciate a lot of the things they did for me when I was there. But I always thought that when [the first start against them] comes, I want to show them what I'm capable of doing."

Ex-Jay Kelvim Escobar, who will start against Toronto for the first time on Saturday.

Kelvim, Toronto fans know exactly what you are capable of. At your best, you are absolutely one of the most dominating pitchers in baseball. Trouble is, you are at your best far too infrequently. Generally, you appear confused on the mound, entirely incapable of harnessing your great skills.

You could throw a 3-hit shutout against the Jays or get chased in the 3rd inning. Either are entirely possible and neither would be a shock.

Between the rumours swirling and him getting into it with Luis Gonzalez last night in the dugout, it looks like yet another World Series winning Diamondback pitcher is headed for the AL East.

ASB after tomorrow. Take care of yourself, and get plenty of rest. Nothing is better.

Since everyone is/was busy on this very entertaining Saturday afternoon, I thought I'd guess Lucas' lyrics.

It's none other than Bob Dylan. This is actually one of the few Dylan tunes that I can recognize. Now, let's talk cuttlefish.

Oh Brent? Magpie respectfully points out that he was quoting from the song in his post...

Sorry I was away. And cuttlefish are Moffatt's gig. I award each of you pictures of lizards taken in Canyonlands National Park (Needles District), Utah.

Ugh. I apologize. I guess it would help to read the other comments before posting, eh?
