Batter's Box Night At The Dome is this Tuesday

We're going to the Dome, and there is still one free ticket left. For a classic pitching matchup, no less.

Yes, only 24 of the 25 available free tickets have been claimed for this Tuesday, so there is still one chance to get in for free. But tickets are only $2, and there should be more room this time than last. Last time there were four cancellations as well, so if you don't get a free ticket, come down and I'll sort you out anyway!

We are sitting in section 528 this time, rows 6 through 8. If you buy your own ticket to come and join us, that's where to go; we'll make room for you.

We're hoping for better weather this time so more of us can meet out front. This time we will meet in front of Gate 6 on the southeast corner of the Dome. Look out for me... the short, round guy with the beard (and hopefully the knot of folks surrounding him). I'll give more details of what I will be wearing, on Tuesday.

Aaron, any progress on being able to bring in the drum this time?

The game, of course, is against the Red Sox. My calculations tell me that it will be Pedro versus Doc, provided both are working on a five-day schedule. CBS Sportsline confirms that both Martinez and Halladay are the scheduled starters.

This is the kind of game that happens maybe once, maybe twice a year : where the two best pitchers in the league tangle head-to-head. If you can make it, don't miss it.

Just to point out to Leaf's fans that this night will be Game 7 with the Sens.

I'm definately going to the Dome anyway for two reasons:

1) You should always go out with real people rather than watch TV.

2) If the Leafs lose in Game 7, did you really want to watch it? If they win, there's another series.

The drum is currently in prep and should be willing and ready to go for Tuesday if he gets the okay. I haven't contacted anyone with Jays about him and was curious to if Aaron had spoken with anyone about it...

He's still a tad pissed about his last Dome experience but I think that'll only encourage him to be louder... I've never know him to hold a grudge.

Well, the drum is not out for future games, but basically we probably can't bring it in on this Tuesday -- the person I was talking to said that they'd likely not have a solution to the drum issue until after this homestand. He said he needed to talk to someone in another department.

I think they want to figure out where to put us that we won't disrupt people's views with a giant base drum. ;)
