This is just a PSA to let all the Bauxites know that Baseball Prospectus will be having one of their increasingly famous Pizza Feeds in Toronto on September 27.

Details are available on the BP Pizza page.

Craig, this would dovetail nicely with an outing to the Dome.

Conveniently enough, it's a 4:05 start...

I am soooo there.

Count me in, too. I'm looking forward to meeting Will Carroll, and pizza is one of my essential food groups.

This is perfect timing. We had been contemplating a Batter's Box outing to celebrate our first season. Talkin' baseball with Prospectus then going to a game is just the ticket. I hope to meet a lot of our readers from the GTA and beyond, maybe even a few lurkers. See you there!

Hello all,

I am the guy organizing the BP Feed for the 27th. Glad to see word is spreading, as we're looking to make this a big one.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the event is being planned for 1:00 for pizza and shop talk with Will and friends, followed by everyone going to the game afterward. Still working on the details, but do spread the word.

If you guys could confirm with me at the e-mail address on the BP page, it would be a big help in letting me get an idea of the numbers to plan for.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there,

Darryl Rose

Hey Darryl...I know location is TBD but do you have some possibilities in mind, just so I have a general idea of where approximately I need to be around 1:00.

(See, this is important, for golf planning purposes of course.)

Hey all,

For golf planning purposes, the location of the 1:00 event is going to be downtown Toronto, near the Dome.

As someone who just attended the feed(less) at Cleveland.....this is a must attend event for everyone....the guys were great----but meeting the other readers was just as good.....

I'll do my very best to make it down from the National Capital Region.... When are these guys going to have an Ottawa Pizza Feed? Have lunch at Pub Italia and then rent a bus to go watch the Ottawa Lynx play the Scranton-Wilkes-Barre Phillies ... if that's wrong, baby, I don't want to be right.

I am there like Jack the Bear from Delaware.

So how's it work? Do we each get our own tickets, or does someone get a whole bunch of them and hand 'em out that afternoon, or what? Are there nametags? Inquiring minds.

Matthew, my understanding is that Darryl will have group tickets from the Jays included in the cost for the event, expected to be in the $20-30 range. They haven't made firm arrangements yet. RSVP early if you plan to attend; it will help them estimate the numbers.

I'm told that a post-game get-together at a local bar and grill for further shop talk is not unprecedented. Mmm, baseball immersion and a pizza-wings doubleheader. It will be great to finally meet so many friends.

I'd have to say that my take on the Cleveland feed is that the actual "event" is not as good as hanging out at the game, being around 20+ guys who know what is happening at the game and the after the game trip to the watering hole is a MUST....that is when things get good......no nametags.....from what I gather if Rany isn't involved the feeds are very informal, of course that is what makes the Q&A not as good as the sitting around just talking baseball

Nothing personal here, but ... I hate everyone of you. I missed the Seattle pizza feed, though, to be honest, I'd rather be in Toronto with other Bauxites.

Some day. (You are all allowed to show your pleasure at the mere prospect of meeting yours truly at some point.)

Looking forward to seeing many of you at the Feed. I'll be a bit more formal. Most of our program in Cleveland was scrapped since I'd rather hear the Cleveland GM's than me any day! I'm sure you'll have many more questions that are team specific if we can get the guys I think we can from the Jays. (Maybe they can explain that new logo ... or maybe not.) Anyway, I really am looking forward to it. RSVP soon.

I have RSVPed. I point this out here only because my e-mails don't get where they're going all the time, so this posting is like a fail-safe.

If the current schedule holds up for the rotation, the BP Pizza Feed game should be a Halladay start. That would be so cool.
