NOTES

Trenton Wallace had an excellent start for Buffalo. He pitched through 4.1 innings with out allowing a hit The next hitter did get a hit and that was it for Wallace, 4.1 innings, six K's two walks, 68 pitches. There are signs of life in the Bisons rotation. Ali Sanchez, a 28 year old catcher with less than 100 major league at-bats, homered twice. Steward Berroa went 2-4 but his average is just .214. Jon Clase went 2-4 as well but he is hitting .375. If there was a need for an OF in the majors, you would expect Clase to be first in line, he is already on the 40 man roster. Orelvis also had two hits to drag his average up to .100.

Yohendrick Pinango had a day for New Hampshire. A single in the first, and RBI single in the third, a walk in the fourth, a triple in the seventh and another RBI single in the eighth. In total 4-4 with a walk, two RBI. Jace Bohrofen stayed hot with two singles. Eddinson Paulino hit his first home run of the season.

Vancouver put Connor O'Halloran on the IL earlier this week so Saturday was a bullpen day. The Jays could be keeping the spot open for Yesavage or Stephens. The C's had just four hits.

Speaking of Yesavage, he was perfect through four innings for Dunedin. But in the fifth he gave up three runs thanks to two ground ball singles to the OF, an infield single, a line drive single and a steal of home as part of a double steal. He used 67 pitches, 50 strikes and just 17 balls. He used five pitches, got a whiff on all of them, and had 18 whiffs in total. He racked up ten K's.

Once again Gage Stanifer followed Yesavage and was better. Four shutout innings, one hit, two walks, seven K's. Stanifer used three pitches. He main two and sinker, slider. He also threw four changeups but no hitter swung at the change up. He will need that third pitch to be a starter.

Bryce Arnold is a 23 year old from Hamilton. He is 23 and so a little old for the FSL. But he is delivering. On Saturday he doubled and hit his third and fourth home runs of the season. His OPS is over 1,200. JR Freethy had three hits.

Jean Joseph was called up from the complex today. He pinch hit for Daulton Varsho and hit a two run home run.
