Buffalo Bisons

The Buffalo Bisons were 12-5 losers Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs thanks in large part to a seven run second inning by Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.

Lehigh followed up with three more in the fourth to take a 11-3 lead. The Bisons could only manage two in their half of the fifth.

Buffalo’s Riley Tirotta had opened the game for the Bisons with a three run blast to make it 3-0 at the top of 1.

Today’s game sees Buffalo send starter Paolo Espino (1-4 5.00 ERA). First pitch will be at 7:05pm.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats lost 8-5 Wednesday night to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

New Hampshire did lead this game 2-1 after two innings thanks to a Michael Turconi single that scored Cade Doughty in the bottom of the second.

New Hampshire would lead 4-2 after six thanks to a two-run blast from Gabby Martinez that scored Devonte Brown but then crumbled and allowed 5 runs at the top of seven.

Ryan Clifford rumbled a grand slam for the Rumble Ponies making it 7-4. The two teams traded solo shot home runs in the eighth and ninth and Binghamton held on to win this one.

Today’s game sees the no-announced starter for the Fisher Cats. The first pitch will be at 6:35 PM ET.

Dunedin Blue Jays

The Dunedin Blue Jays lost 9-8 Wednesday against the Tampa Tarpons.

Tampa wasted no time in this one getting three runs in the top of the first inning but the Blue Jays were able to counter with a solo shot from Victor Arias in the bottom of the first.

Tampa got another run in the top of the second but the Blue Jays countered with four runs of their own capped off by a Joey Votto single that scored Arjun Nimmala.

In the fourth the Blue Jays added two more runs on a Bryce Arnold homer and a Jean Joseph single that scored Nimmala to stake a 7-4 lead for Dunedin.

Dunedin couldn’t hold the lead here though as Tampa got three in the top of the fifth to knot the game at 7-7.

In the seventh Keiner Leon’s wild pitch allowed Tampa’s Hans Montero to score. Montero had singled then stole second prior to coming home. The Tarpons took the lead 8-7 and added another in the top of the eighth. They held off a Dunedin single run rally in the eight and prevailed 9-8.
