NOTES
Buffalo resumed their game that was suspended on Friday with the Bisons up 11-0. It quickly became 13-0 when Riley Tirotta homered, his second of the game. Tirotta has been hitting very well since his promotion to AAA, and he is hitting with more power in AAA than he did in AA. Tirotta is primarily a first baseman at this stage and it is tough to break into the major leagues at that position. Tirotta went 5-6 with five RBI. Steward Berroa was 3-5 with two doubles. Leo Jimenez was 4-5. Bryce Arnold who was a fill-in call up from Dunedin hit a grand slam and was 3-6. It got so bad for Scranton that former Blue Jay Kevin Smith pitched 2.2 innings.
Eric Pardinho came on for the ninth inning and promptly gave up four runs. It was just his second AAA appearance. The rains returned in the bottom of the ninth and the game was called after 8.1 innings. The regularly scheduled game was not played due to the rain.
The New Hampshire game went to 11 innings where a Ryan McCarty error allowed Reading to win. NH scored three runs on eight hits. Rainer Nunez hit his sixth home run , a solo shot. Garret Spain had a double and a triple, Gabriel Martinez two doubles.
Trenton Wallace struck out nine over six innings. Reading scored one run off him with seven hits. Wallace has made 13 starts this season for NH and could be in line for a promotion soon. He has a 2.81 ERA and opponents are hitting .197 off him.
Vancouver scored six runs off eight hits. Nine walks helped. Jevon ward and Nick Goodwin homered, Dylan Rock had two hits.
Ryan Jennings was outstanding, striking out ten over five innings. He gave up one solo home run. Like Wallace he also could be in line for a promotion.
In the FCL Arjun Nimmala again played a partial game. He tripled, homered, walked and struck out. The starting pitcher was Samuel Colmenares. The 19 year old has 32 strikeouts in 27 innings. He has walked a few too many though, 17. He is one to watch.
