No-No for Lazaro!

Buffalo was on the wrong end of a slugfest while Dunedin and the Dominican Jays also lost. New Hampshire and the FCL Blue Jays won one-run games and Vancouver swept a doubleheader to give the affiliates a 4-3 record on Tuesday.

Notes

Max McDowell homered twice and Leo Jiménez doubled twice as part of their four-hit nights. Will Robertson, Riley Tirotta and Cam Eden also went yard. with Eden also getting a triple. Damiano Palmegiani walked twice. Mike Mayers opened with two scoreless innings and Connor Cooke worked a scoreless frame. Paxton Schultz suffered the loss by surrendering five runs, including two long balls, in 1-1/3 innings to take the loss.

Garrett Spain and Ryan McCarty had three-hit nights that included a home run and they each stole a base. Gabby Martinez also cleared the fence.and drew a walk. Rainer Nuñez had an RBI single among his two hits. Alex De Jesús had a hit and a.walk while Kekai Rosi and Josh Kasevich chipped in with a double and a single respectively. Devereaux Harrison gave up three runs on three hits and a walk but struck out six over five innings for the win. Braydon Fisher—who arrived from the Los Angeles Dodgers system in the Cavan Biggio trade—posted a goose egg. Ryan Boyer recorded the final four outs, including a K, to get the save.

Lazardo Estrada faced just one batter over the minimum as he delivered seven no-hit innings with just two walks as his only blemishes. He struck out eight with 64 of his 93 pitches being called for strikes. Nick Goodwin singled home the only run in Game 1 of this doubleheader. Goodwin added two more hits in Game 2 along with Jackson Hornung and Dylan Rock, Peyton Williamsn doubled home two runs and Jace Bohrofen doubled and walked. Carson Pierce went 3-1/3 innings with four strikeouts. Grayson Thurman stranded tow runs and had two whiffs over 1-2/3 shutout innings for the win. Naswell Paulino and Chay Yeager finished up with a scoreless stanza apiece with Paulino striking out two and Yeager striking out one.

Cade Doughty homered and walked and Tucker Toman doubled. That was half of the Dunedin hit total. Victor Arias had an RBI single and Cristian Feliz had a base knock. Jorge Bautista was jolted for six runs over five innings but three of the runs were unearned. Juanmi Vasquez struck out two over two shutout frames and Jordan Powell punched out one over two more scoreless innings.

Braden Berry had a double among his three hits and Kendry Chirinios had two for the F-Jays. Faruk De La Cruz had a bases-clearing doubled stole a base. Enmanuel Bonilla singled home two more. Sam Shaw singled, was hit by a pitch and stole a base. Joey Votto drew a walk. Ryan Watson—a recent free agent signing from Georgia State—was whacked for five runs over four frames but struck out seven. Raudy Gomez gave up two runs in two-thirds of an inning but got the win thanks to Luis Torres as he stranded two Gomez runners by getting the final out.

Yorman Licourt had three of the nine hits for the DS-Jays. Daniel Ramon and Rafael Flores had two hits apiece with Ramon driving in a run and stealing a base and Flores driving in two and swiping two. Silvano Hechavarria gave up a run in four innings but fanned seven. Edgar Gallegos got the loss and blown save with three runs allowed over 1-1/3 innings. Josue Loreto put up two scoreless frames with a strikeout.
