On a night when all four affiliates won their games, big numbers on offence were a key part of these victories.

Looking to square away some games of an earlier April rain out in Vancouver, The Spokane Chiefs and the Vancouver Canadians are set to play seven games this week, with the teams each winning a game so far.
Spokane’s 4-1 win on Tuesday was followed up by a 6-2 Vancouver win on Wednesday at the Chief’s Avista Stadium.
The seventh inning of this contest saw the Canadians score four thanks to a Dylan Rock double and a Glenn Santiago RBI single. Even with a strikeout that took one out, Vancouver had loaded the bases when Jace Bohrofen, the Blue Jays #22 ranked prospect, had walked to start the inning and Nick Goodwin and Jackson Hornung had reached safely. Bohrofen also hit his first home run as a member of the Canadians in this game.
Four Canadians relievers including Greyson Thurman(2-0) held Spokane to one hit, one walk and eight K’s over four innings. Starter Geison Urbaez, worked 4 and two-thirds innings allowing 2 runs on four hits to go with three walks and two strikeouts. He has a 2.08 ERA on the year. Urbaez was also the Northwest League Pitcher of the Week for May 6-12th for his performance against the Everett Aquasox

The hurler has also had a strong April fashioning a 2.25 ERA in 12 innings. He has nine strikeouts, five walks and no home runs allowed and has held his opponents to a .171 average across three starts.

Buffalo Bisons
Nathan Lukes paced the Buffalo Bisons offence in this game with six hits as the Bisons crushed the Rochester Red Wings 14-3 on Wednesday.
Lukes hit a two-run homer with Spencer Horowitz on base giving the Herd a 2-0 lead to start the game. Former Vancouver Canadian Damiano Palmegiani then added an RBI single to make it 3-0 early in this contest.
Chad Dallas worked 5.1 innings in this outing. He now has two straight wins. He did allow a solo home run to Rochester’s Erick Mejia in the third but like last Wednesday’s game against the Worcester RedSox Buffalo scored eight runs in the fourth giving him an 11-1 lead with which to work for his remaining inning.
Those eight runs on four hits included a Leo Jimenez walk that started the fourth and then a Lukes two-run double to score Jimenez and Steward Berroa. Three bases-loaded walks and a total of 12 Bison players went to the plate in their half of the fourth.
Spencer Horowitz also had a great game reaching base safely in four at-bats. Three walks and three runs scored to go with a hit by pitch were topped by Lukes as he went 6-6 with three singles, a pair of doubles, a two-run home run and six RBIs.
The next Bisons game is Thursday in Rochester with the teams scheduled to meet at 6:05 p.m. Aaron Sanchez starts for the Bisons against the Red Wings.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats
Like their Triple-A cousins in Buffalo The New Hampshire Fisher Cats exploded in one inning, the six, to score seven runs against the Hartford Yard Goats for a 12-3 victory Wednesday.
Home runs from Alan Roden and Riley Tirotta and a three-for-four game from Phil Clarke paced the New Hampshire win. Roden finished the game two-for-four with a homer, two walks, an RBI, two runs, and five total bases.Adam Macko got his first Double-A win to move to 1-2 with a 4.36 ERA after this contest. He had a season-high nine strikeouts. He is Toronto's Number nine ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline.
The Fisher Cats had 13 hits against six Yard Goats pitchers. Alex De Jesus, Roden, Josh Kasevich and catcher Phil Clarke recorded multiple hits.
New Hampshire and Hartford continue their series Thursday with C.J. Van Eyk (1-1, 8.83 ERA) against the Yard Goats right-hander Andrew Quezada (2-0, 1.67 ERA). Game time is 7:10PM EDT.
Dunedin Blue Jays
The Dunedin Blue Jays had lost seven straight games against the Jupiter Hammerheads, one of my favourite baseball team names, but thanks to Juaron Watts-Brown’s season-high nine K’s over Jupiter batters in four innings along Yhoangel Aponte’s 4-4 night, Dunedin got the win Wednesday 5-0.
Yhoangel Aponte’s 4-4 night included a three-run blast in the third to get the Blue Jays on the board.
Watts-Brown is the Toronto Blue Jays 18th ranked Prospect in their system.
Dunedin’s bullpen held the Hammerheads to no runs in five innings as Yondrei Rojas struck out three in two innings, Irv Carter set down three straight in the seventh, and Eliander Alcalde blanked Jupiter in the eighth and ninth innings.
Game Three of this series continues tonight at 6:30 as Dunedin looks to make it two straight. Grant Rogers is on the mound for the Blue Jays.
