2. Rafael Ohashi, Dunedin - 5IP 1H 0R/ER 0B 5K

1. Wynton Bernard, Buffalo - 1/3, HR, 2BB

Notes

Wynton Bernard is trying to remain in the picture for a call-up to Toronto this season. He's hitting .286 with a .333 mark against lefties but .229 versus righties. Tanner Morris is hitting just .139 but does have hits in four of his past five games and drew a walk in the other for a five-game on-base streak. Triple-A games are now using the ABS (automated ball-strike system) from Tuesday to Thursday with challenges allowed Friday to Sunday. Casey Lawrence pitched a scoreless three innings to start this one before getting pulled. Marc Hulet points out this may have been done in case Chris Bassitt is not ready for his next start.

Damiano Palmegiani has cooled off after a quick start as he is bating .238 but socked his first Double-A home run. Dylan Rock had a hit and is batting .500 in the early going.

Michael Dominguez walked four batters and hit another and was chased by a grand slam in his 2-2/3 innings of work. He's walked 10 in five innings this year. Alan Roden drew a walk to extend his on-base streak to 10 games and had two assists in right field. Cade Doughty homered for the second straight game.

Matt Svanson made his 2023 debut with a scoreless inning. Adrian Pinto had two hits, stole a base and is hitting .257. Every other Dunedin hitter is hitting below the Mendoza line.
