Buffalo won both ends of a doubleheader. They held Worcester to one run in each game. Vancouver were rained out again. A friend told me it rains twice in Vancouver, once for two months and once for three months. Maybe our west coasters can confirm. New Hampshire and Dunedin had the day off.
Worcester 1 Buffalo 2 - game one
Worcester 1 Buffalo 2 - game two
New Hampshire - day off
Spokane at Vancouver - rained out, again
Dunedin - day off
Three Stars
Third Star - Addison Barger
Second Star - Yosver Zulueta
First Star - Nathan Lukes
NOTES
Yosver Zulueta went three shutout innings. His fastball averaged 95, topping out at 97. However he threw more sliders than any other pitch. He got five whiffs on the slider. Reportedly Zulueta will stay pitching fewer innings than you would expect of a starter to get him to the end of the season.
Nate Pearson bounced back with a clean inning, three strikeouts. He was averaging 98 mph on his FB.
Nate Lukas is back in the lineup. He had two hits in game one including the walk off winning single.
Addison Barger went 1-3 and 2-3 to get his average up to .320.
Jay Jackson got the save in game two. He threw 14 pitches, 2 FB and 12 sliders. He seems to be first in line for a reliever call up.
