Two wins in two games on the farm. Sem Robberse was excellent as New Hampshire had a big win. Dunedin's game was shortened due to rain but they came out on top also.
Worcester at Buffalo
New Hampshire 8 Altoona 2
Eugene Vancouver
Dunedin 4 Fort Myers 2 - 5.5 innings
This is what I noted from today's games.
Sem Robberse was excellent in his first start. He had eight strikeouts in 4.2 innings. It looked like he got the K's using all his pitches. He gave up one home run.
Alejandro Melean came on in relief. Don't read anything into the relief appearance. The Fisher Cats don't play on Sunday or Monday so they might not need a fifth starter until Saturday of next week. Melean threw two innings.
Orelvis Martinez got off to a rough start. He struck out in his first two at-bats. He then hit two fly balls for an 0-4. He reached through catchers interference on his fifth trip. I do think he was trying to be more selective, he took several strikes and didn't swing at any balls.
Rafael Sanchez went five innings for Dunedin, six K's, no walks and two runs allowed.
Tucker Toman went 2-3.
Three Stars
Third Star - Rafael Sanchez
Second Star - Luis De Los Santos - 4 RBI for NH
First Star - Sem Robberse
