The Jays have said recently that Nate Pearson needs to pitch multiple innings before being considered for a call-up. He did that on Saturday but it didn't go well. He came into the game in the seventh inning with one out. He walked the lead off hitter who promptly stole second base. Pearson then spotted the runner looking to third and picked him off. He then got the third out.
Buffalo scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh with a Trevor Schwecke two run home run. That gave them a 4-3 lead and put Pearson in line for the win. Pearson started the eighth single, walk, single, double and that was it. He did pitch in multiple innings but it was not a success.
The Bisons used five pitchers. Of note Hayden Juenger gave up another home run, not an unusual occurrence.
Schwecke and Davis Schneider had two hits each. Addison Barger ha done hit, a double. It came off ex-Jay Patrick Murphy.
Bisons lost 7-4.
