Chavez Young got things started by homering in the first at-bat of the Buffalo game. Nick Podkul liked that so he homered twice. That's a win for the Bisons. New Hampshire went to the bottom of the ninth tied thanks to an eighth inning home run by Zach Britton. John Aiello liked that so he walked it off with along ball in the bottom of the ninth. Vancouver played two. Game one went to ten innings and Vancouver got the walk-off win. Jommer Hernandez hit a three run home run in the sixth in game two to help the C's sweep the doubleheader. Dunedin also played two and split. Gabriel Martinez hit his eleventh homer and hit four balls at 94.5 mph or higher.

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.
Nick Podkul homered twice for Buffalo and drove in three runs. Chavez Young led off the game with a home run and later added an RBI triple. Cullen Large, who has been on a tear recently, went 3-4 with a walk.
Thomas Hatch went six innings and he allowed two home runs, and four runs total. Hayden Jeunger pitched the last two innings with out allowing a run. However, he lived dangerously. He needed an out at home plate to escape the eighth and he put the first two runners in the ninth to reach before pitching out of the jam.
Adam Kloffenstein started with four shutout innings and he hadn't walked anyone. So far so good. Then the fifth came. He hit the first batter, followed by a single then the dreaded walk. Two more singles brought in three runs. Sean Mellen came on in relief and gave up a home run meaning Kloff had allowed five runs. So, some good, some bad.
The Fisher Cats trailed 6-2 but began chipping away with a run in the sixth and another in the seventh. That setup Zach Britton to hit a two run home run in the eighth to tie the game. John Aiello then homered for the walk off win.
Aiello was 2-4 as was Cam Eden and Addison Barger. Zach Britton had three hits. New Hampshire pitchers set a team record with 19 strikeouts. Four pitchers combined for the record.
Vancouver's first game went to extra innings. It took just one pitch in the bottom of the tenth to win. Andres Sosa singled to left to bring in Miguel Hiraldo, the designated runner. Glenn Santiago was 2-3 with a walk and an RBI. Matt Svanson went four innings with five K's. The only run he allowed came from a fielding error.
Chad Dallas started game two and gave up three runs in five innings. Trailing 3-0 Jommer Hernandez singled in a run in the fourth. He came to the plate with two men on in the sixth and hit a three run home run to give the C's a 4-3 lead, and ultimately the win. Dasan Brown and Riley Tirotta had a pair of hits.
Dunedin had just two hits in their first game. Yondrei Rojas was just promoted from the FCL team to start. He did well for three innings but them gave up four runs in the next two innings. Rojas is a little undersized at 5'10". He did mix four pitches and got at least one whiff on each of them. His fastball averaged 93 mph.
Gabriel Martinez hit a two run home run in game two, his eleventh. He also had a second hit. His home run came off the bat at 96.5 mph and went 384 feet. His single was 101.4 mph. Martinez also lined out twice, once at 99.7 mph and the other at 94.5 mph. Four batted balls at 94 mph and higher. That's why he is getting attention. Robert Robertis was 2-4 as another new player up from the FCL.
