Dunedin was the only winner Tuesday. New Hampshire blew a big early lead and Vancouver lost in extra innings. Buffalo's game against Durham was rained out. The Herd will play two against the Bulls Wednesday.

Somerset 8 New Hampshire 7

The Fisher Cats pissed away an early 5-0 lead to the Yankees affiliate and their ninth-inning rally came up short. All of the scoring came via the long ball. Orelvis Martinez mashed a three-run home run in the first inning, Zac Cook clubbed a two-run shot in the second and Sebastian Espino smashed a two-run dinger of his own in the ninth. Steward Berroa got aboard on an error after Espino's blast and Cook laid down a bunt single with one out to move Berroa to second but Berroa was doubled off when Martinez lined to left on a 7-4 play to end the game. Tanner Morris had three hits and a walk at the top of the order. He's hitting .338 with a 1.042 OPS. Cook was on base three times with two hits and a hit by pitch and Luis De Los Santos had the other two-hit effort. Though Berroa had a baserunning blunder, he did record two assists from left field. Will Robertson had a hit but Spencer Horwitz and Phil Clarke were both 0-for-4.

Joey Murray was mauled for eight runs in 3-1/3 innings, serving up a grand slam. He gave up four hits and four walks while striking out three. Geison Urbaez allowed a Murray runner to score but pitched 2-2/3 shutout innings. despite one hit, one plunk and three walks. Sean Rackoski finished up with two scoreless frames of one-hit ball.

Everett 4 Vancouver 2 (10 Innings)

The Mariners affiliate did not have to swing the bat in the decisive 10th inning as Jol Concepion walked the first two men he faced to load the bases before balking home the winning run. He then walked the next two hitters before getting pulled. Mark Simon cleaned up the mess with two punchouts and a flout to leave the bases loaded. Starter Sem Robberse worked around four hits and two walks by striking out seven over five shutout innings. Unfortunately, Everett starter Adam Macko—born in Slovakia and raised in Ireland and Alberta—matched Robberse zero-for-zero over five innings. Alex Nolan nullified a leadoff walk in the sixth by striking out the side but another walk in the seventh was followed by a two-run home run to give Everett the lead. Nolan struck out four. Kyle Boyer pitched two shutout innings in his Nat Bailey Stadium debut, working around a hit and two walks, one intentionally, by striking out five.

P.K. Morris accounted for the Vancouver scoring with a two-out, two-run double in the seventh to tie the game. Morris and Miguel Hiraldo had four of the five hits for the C's and they each stole a base. Garrett Spain had a hit and a walk. Each C's hitter had a least one walk with Riley Tirotta drawing two. Despite all that, Vancouver was 2-for-17 with runners in scoring position and left 14 men on base. The Canadians had the bases loaded with nobody out in the sixth and did not score. They also loaded the bases with a two-out rally in the 10th but they could not bring anyone home. A steady rain fell throughout the game and with more rain in the forecast, it would not be a surprise if there is no baseball at Nat Bailey Stadium for the next couple of days.

Dunedin 3 Clearwater 2

The rehabbing Teoscar Hernández gave the D-Jays a 2-0 lead in the first with a two-run homer to drive in a leadoff triple by Adrian Pinto. Roque Salinas doubled home a Gabriel Martinez double to drive in the winning run in the seventh. Pinto, Hernández, Martinez and Estiven Machado all had two hits. Damiano Palmegiani and Rainer Nunez were 0-for-4 with Nunez striking out three times.

Connor Cooke worked the first four innings against the Phillies affiliate and gave up two runs on four hits, a walk and a hit by pitch. His strikeout and groundout totals were three apiece. Matt Svanson got the win by pitching the final five frames, scattering four hits and a walk while ringing up four. He recorded eight of his nine outs in play on the ground.
