It was a tough night on the farm for the affiliates. New Hampshire had the only win and that in a rain shortened game.
Iowa 4 Buffalo 3
New Hampshire 3 Portland 0 - 6 innings
Vancouver 2 Spokane 10
Bradenton 12 Dunedin 4
This is what I noted from yesterday's games.
Joe Biagini took the loss in the Bisons game. He came into pitch in the ninth inning of a tied game and surrendered a two run home run. Gabriel Moreno has still not shown up in Buffalo. Cullen Large had three hits to be the leading hitter on the day in the organization.
In a rain shortened game, Spencer Horwitz had two hits and leads the Fisher Cats early with a .429 BA. Nick Fraze had a nice start, 4.1 shutout innings. Adrian Hernandez got the win, three outs, two walks, two K's.
Trent Palmer started for the C's and went three innings with four runs allowed. All four runs were unearned as the C's made four errors in one inning. In total the C's made seven errors, early season rustiness I hope. Addison Barger had two hits.
Kendry Rojas started for Dunedin but he didn't survive the first inning. The first four Dunedin pitchers all conceded multiple runs. Dunedin had just three hits. In a good sign Dasan Brown had two of them.
Three Stars
Third Star - Dasan Brown
Second Star - Nick Fraze
First Star - Cullen Large
