A shutout win and two one-run losses for the Blue Jays affiliates on Tuesday. New Hampshire’s game in Reading was cancelled due to COVID concerns.

Buffalo 3 Syracuse 0

The Bisons and Mets were scoreless after 6-1/2 innings before the Herd took the lead in the seventh. Christian Colón singled to start the inning and went to third on a Logan Warmoth base hit before scoring on a wild pitch. Gregory Polanco put one over the fence off former Jay Sean Reid-Foley to score a Tyler White walk in the eighth. White had two hits on the night while Otto Lopez had a triple.

Ross Stripling opened this one and lasted 1-1/3 innings. He issued a two-out walk but recorded a strikeout in the first. The second inning saw him give up a double to former Jay Brandon Drury before leaving the game. Kirby Snead stranded Drury by getting the final two outs of the inning, one of them being a strikeout. Bowden Francis improved to 9-4 on the year with five shutout innings of two-hit ball, walking one and whiffing three. A.J. Cole gave up two hits but struck out the side in the eighth. Jacob Waguespack worked a two-hit ninth but struck out one to complete the shutout and collect his first save of the year to help the Herd win its ninth in a row.

Spokane 5 Vancouver 4

The Canadians built a 2-0 lead over the first two innings before the Rockies affiliate rallied. Philip Clarke—the High-A West player of the week—cranked his fifth homer of the year and was hit by a pitch. Tanner Morris had an RBI single to extend his on-base streak to 33 games. Spencer Horwitz ran his hitting streak to 25 with a base hit. Rafael Lantigua walked, singled and stole three bases. He scored the first run of the game on a throwing error by the catcher after stealing second and third. Zac Cook had a sacrifice fly.

Alejandro Melean allowed four runs in 4-2/3 innings on eight hits, a hit by pitch and a walk to take the loss. Two of the runs were unearned as he struck out six and produced five outs on the ground. Willy Gaston gave up the other run over 2-1/3 innings but struck out four. Jol Concepion put up a pair of zeroes in the eighth and ninth.

Rafael Ohashi gave up a pair of first-inning runs in his 3-2/3 inning-outing. He surrendered four hits and three walks but struck out seven.
