Buffalo had to go eleven innings to extend their win streak to eight games. They started the week in second place but had a five game lead by the end of the week. Dunedin played ten innings but lost. Vancouver won in nine innings while New Hampshire's games were cancelled due to COVID.
Buffalo 9 Scranton 6 - 11 innings
Portland at New Hampshire - DH postponed due to COVID rules
Vancouver 7 Everett 4
Palm Beach 10 Dunedin 9 - 10 innings
This is what I noted from yesterday's games.
In Buffalo Gregory Polanco homered in the eighth to tie the game and send it to extras. The Bisons then scored three in the eleventh for the win. Otto Lopez was 4-6, Richard Urena and Cullen Large were each 3-5.
Nick Allgeyer went five innings with three runs allowed. Julian Merryweather faced three hitters before leaving, he struck out the first hitter, then hit Jonathan Davis with a pitch and the next hitter doubled.
Phil Clarke homered for the second day in a row and finished 3-5. Andres Guerra hit his first home run Spencer Horwitz extended his hit streak with two doubles. Tanner Morris's hit streak ended with an 0-4.
Paxton Schultz started and went 5.2 innings.
In Dunedin Steward Berroa was 3-5 including his sixth home run and a double. He also stole his 50th base. New rules for pitcher pickoff attempts has made stealing in A ball a lot easier this year. Riley Tirotta hit his first home run among his two hits. Addison Bargar was 2-5 with a double.
Three Stars
Third Star - Steward Berroa and Phil Clarke
Second Star - Otto Lopez
First Star - Richard Urena
