The C’s fought back from a 4-0 deficit and led 8-7 at one point before losing to the Mariners affiliate. Rafael Lantigua, Spencer Horwitz and Orelvis Martinez all homered in the third inning. Lantigua had two hits and stole two bases. Horwitz had a double and single to push his hit streak to 20 games and also walked twice. Tanner Morris was 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and extended his hitting and on-base streaks to 20 and 29 games respectively. Alejandro Melean allowed five runs in four innings in his Canadians debut on six hits and three walks while striking out three. Willy Gaston surrendered two runs in 1-2/3 innings and Gabriel Ponce gave up two more in 1-1/3 innings to take the loss. Thomas Ruwe worked a shutout eighth.
