It was not a particularly notable day on the farm. Buffalo had the only win and it took eleven innings to get it. New Hampshire and Vancouver were comprehensively beaten, while Dunedin blew a win with a two run error in the ninth inning.

Buffalo 9 Syracuse 7 - 11 innings

New Hampshire 2 Bowie 8

Vancouver 2 Eugene 7

Dunedin 4 St Lucie 5

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Jacob Waguespack pitched well, again. He is, at this stage, the most reliable starter in Buffalo. Once again the reliable bullpen was less than reliable, four of the five relievers used conceded a run.

Breyvic Valera had three hits and scored three runs out of the lead off position. Christian Colon, Dilson Herrera and Tyler White homered.

After being one hit yesterday, the Fisher Cats were no hit for four innings today and ended with three hits. LJ Talley scored both runs after a double and a walk.

The New Hampshire starter was Reilly Hovis, a 27 year old who was signed from the Gastonia Honey Catchers. He did not make a good first impression as he allowed six runs in 4.2 innings.

The C's scored two runs, both solo home runs by Sebastian Espino and Luis De Los Santos. In the series De Los Santos was 10-25 with three home runs.

Brian Rapp, another free agent pitcher signed by the Jays, made his second start. Like Hovis, it didn't go well. Rapp gave up five runs in three innings.

Dunedin took a 4-3 lead to the bottom of the ninth. With Julian Valdez pitching, St Lucie had runners on first and second with one out. Valdez got a ground ball to third but Harry Ray threw it away allowing both runners to score.

Ray had earlier hit a two run home run. Mac Mueller was the only Jay with two hits.
