Socrates Brito knows how to drive in a run. On this day he did it five times, not just five RBI, but five different times he drove in a run. Anthony Alford also had a good game as the Bisons recovered from a poor start by Sean Reid-Foley to get a win. New Hampshire lost in extras. Dunedin won again with a shutout. Lansing split a doubleheader.
Buffalo 14 Indianapolis 6
Billy McKinney tripled and scored in the first inning. Sean Reid-Foley then breezed through two innings to preserve the 1-0 lead. But the wheels started to come off in the third. SRF walked a couple and allowed a couple of singles and the Bisons were down 2-1. The first two batters of the fourth reached and SRF was pulled for Matt Dermody. Another walk, a single and a double later and Buffalo were down 6-1. SRF's line was 3 3 4 4 4 5. He threw 78 pitches, 43 strikes and 35 balls.
The Bisons then scored 13 unanswered runs to win 14-6. The hitters were supported by excellent relief pitching from David Phelps, Conor Fisk, Kirby Snead and Dusty Isaacs. Combined they allowed one hit over five innings. That left the door open for the hitters. Socrates Brito was 4-5 with a home run and 5 RBI. Brito lodged an RBI in five different trips to the plate. Anthony Alford was 2-4 with a three run home run and 4 RBI. Michael De La Cruz had three hits.
New Hampshire 2 Bowie 4 - 10 innings
New Hampshire were held to just three hits, one of them was a two run double by Kevin Smith.
Hector Perez started and pitched OK. He did use 93 pitches to get through five innings. He was charged with two runs on four hits with three walks. He had six K's. Taylor Saucedo held the hitters at bay but Bryan Baker served up a two run home run in the tenth.
Dunedin 4 Florida 0
Even though the D Jays have clinched the first half title, they just keep on winning. Three pitchers combined on a six hit shutout. Tanner Larkins started and went five innings with six K's. Mike Ellenbest and Jackson Rees each pitched two shutout innings with four and three strikeouts respectively. That's 13 K's for the Jays.
Kevin Vicuna singled in the first run, scoring Samad Taylor. Jesus Navarro singled in two runs, Alejandro Kirk and Ryan Noda, in the fourth. The final run scored on a balk. Vicuna and Taylor each had two hits.

In game one, in extra innings, Rafael Lantigua tripled to score two runs and deliver the winning margin. Lantigua had two hits, Reggie Pruitt had three and two for Hunter Steinmetz. Sean Wymer just gave up one run in five innings. Sean Rackoski was hit around and conceded three runs but Cre Finfrock came on to lock it down.
In game two, Fitz Stadler had a bad start, he gave up all six runs in two innings. Marcus Reyes delivered four strong, shutout innings in relief. The Luggies had just four hits. Hunter Steinmetz doubled and scored a run. Griffin Conine and Nick Podkul each singled in a run.
DSL
The DSL Jays won 7-3. A pair of 17 years olds, Juan Pizarro and Gustavo Gutierrez, had three hits each.
